The Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK) is a professional body that caters for the professional interests of all the radiographers practicing in Kenya. Founded in 1962, the Society boasts of having a following of about 800 registered and practicing radiographers in Kenya which can be estimated to be more than 90% of the diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers in Kenya.
The Society is affiliated with related professional and community bodies and has successfully sought representation on national healthcare forums.
SORK is a non-profit making national organization that provides professional support for radiographers and it is directly responsible for the Professional, Educational, Research, and Public Service and Workplace interest of its members. It also determines the Radiological health care agenda and gives opinion in wide range of professional issues.
In addition, it also sets the practicing and training standards that become the policies co-opted and acclaimed by the government and health professionals in the country.

The Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK) is a registered professional body under the Societies Act Cap 108, whose overall aim is to promote, support and regulate Radiography in Kenya.

Radiography is the science of producing and preliminary interpretation of high quality images of the body to diagnose injuries and diseases, plan and deliver treatment modalities such as ionizing radiation, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) and Nuclear Medicine.
Rates:
– SORK Members: Full Board + Conferencing per day – USD 112
– Non-SORK Members and International Delegates: Full Board + Conferencing per day – USD 126
NB: Application for accommodation to be done via the SORK Secretariat by filling the registration form for booking.
The local Organizing committee for RASCO 2023 with the Council has organized alternate accommodation at Sunset and Nightingale apartments which are in close proximity with Pride Inn Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa Shanzu Mombasa.
